They don’t call Las Vegas the entertainment capital of the world for nothing, and at the Treasure Island Hotel Vegas the entertainment it non-stop.
The slots and tables are open 24 hours a day, so if you came to Vegas just to gamble then you may never leave the ground floor of the hotel. However, Treasure Island has a lot more to offer than just slots as I found out when I stayed there.
One of the highlights of a trip to Treasure Island Hotel in Vegas is the free Sirens of TI show that takes place outside every evening. The Sirens lure the pirates to their cove and all hell ensues. The kids will love the show too, although it is a little more adult in places than the original pirate show, but no strollers are allowed. Performances are nightly at 7pm, 8.30pm, 10pm and 11.30pm.
The viewing areas for the show get crowded very quickly so get there early. If you are staying at the Treasure Island Hotel you can view the show from a VIP area. This is definitely the best free show in Vegas (and believe me, I saw them ALL). There’s music, dancing, sword fights, over-the-top acting and some impressive explosions.
Cirque du Soleil has a number of shows running but their Mystere show at the Treasure Island Hotel Vegas is considered one of the best. It was been voted “Best Production Show” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal 8 times. It is so popular that discount tickets are usually hard to find, so you will need to get to the discount kiosks early to see if you can get your hands on some, but it is worth paying full price to see. You will enter a fantasy circus world where the cast of 72 perform a fast-paced exotic display in dance, music and acrobatics.
As well as the regular shows, the Treasure Island Hotel Vegas also plays host to one-off events and shows from comedians such as Paul Rodriguez and Bill Engvall. And there are the numerous bars, lounges and the Christian Audigier nightclub that play host to regular events throughout the year.
